During this week’s Lennox and Addington county Meeting, Warden Ric Bresee gave the 2021 Warden’s Valedictory Remarks.
The long list included accomplishments such as recognizing everyone at the John M. Parrot Centre for their outstanding work to support the families and the residence during this pandemic, creating a community para medicine program, accessibility improvements to many community properties, they lobbied the province on behalf of the counties four lower tier municipalities regarding the imposition of the education development charges for the French language school board for a new school to be built not here, but in Kingston, they supported a wide range of community lead projects through the naturally L&A ambassador program, increasing the number of housing units available, putting the five rooftop HVAC units at the John impaired Centre, renovations to the museum gallery, and so much more.
Instead of a presentation to the Warden this year, he has redirected it, showing his thanks to the senior staff.
Later in the council meeting, the clerk accepted any nominations for the position of warden for the year 2022, and only one nominations was made by Councillor Jim Hegadorn, that after an amazing year Ric Bresee continue as warden. Councillor John Wise seconded this nomination.
As no other nominations were put forward, Ric Bresee was reinstated as Warden of Lennox and Addington County for 2022.
