
A winter storm warning has been issued for Greater Napanee and the surrounding area today by Environment Canada. Heavy snowfall is expected today and through this evening. 25 to 40 centimeters of snow is expected with wind gusts at around 60 km/h which could reduce visibility on the roads. Weather officials are encouraging no non-essential travel for the day but for those who must travel, you’re encouraged to take extra time while out on the roads. All school bus transportation with the triboard has been canceled for the day. Schools in Hastings Prince Edward, Algonquin Lakeshore and Limestone District School Boards are closed, including all before and after school programs.
