The Coldest Night of the Year walk in Greater Napanee is raising important funds for the Morningstar Mission.
myFM spoke with Executive Director Kevin Alkenbrack, who told us they have come to rely on the funds raised during the walk.
Alkenbrack told us about some of the ways the funds raised from walks past have supported The Mission.
Event organizer Lynda Carney let us know that as of Monday afternoon, roughly 40% of their total $100,000 goal has been raised, with 19 days to go until the event.
Homelessness is something that can happen to anyone.
