You’ll get to enjoy a delicious breakfast and hang out with some adorable cow’s during Farm & Food Care’s next Breakfast on the Farm event, set to take place in Greater Napanee.
Ripplebrook farm, located 7836A County Road 2, will be opening their barn doors to the public on August 26th from 9am to noon.
myFM spoke with Farm owner Kevin MacLean, who told us about their farm and animals.
Kevin is a third-generation dairy farmer, with his grandfather starting the farm in the 50’s.
During Breakfast on the Farm, community members will get to see the animals and eve see the cows during milking time.
Brand new this year, they have a 2-month-old filly named Colorado, who people will have a chance to pet and meet. You can also meet a few super star cows including Quest and Milkshake, a mother-daughter duo who love to be pet. There will also be sheep, a few chickens who roam, and of course some cats. Also in attendance will be the beef farmers of Ontario with some beef cattle.
He told us his favourite part of hosting events like this.
This is a free event. There is a $5 deposit per person, that will be returned after attendance.
Tickets are available online at FarmFoodCareOn.org.
