The County of Prince Edward is asking young residents for their help educating the public about the negative impacts of littering and illegal dumping.
They’re asking students to design anti-littering signs, with the winning design to be used in problem areas and local newspapers.
Mayor Steve Ferguson emphasizes the impact of litter on the environment and urges students to participate.
Entry forms are available at local libraries, PEC teachers and online.
Designs are due by April 1st at 3 pm and can be submitted to communications@pecounty.on.ca or dropped off at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street).
The winner will be announced at the April 9th Council Meeting, receiving an award from Mayor Ferguson.
