The Clarington Eagles have taken a 1-0 series lead over the Napanee Raiders in the PJHL Eastern Conference final on home ice.
The Napanee Raiders opened the scoring as they neared the halfway point of the second period with a goal by Cameron Krupa. Clarington tied the game but then with less than 30 seconds left in the period, Erik MacNiel scored to take the lead at 2-1. The third period saw just one goal scored for Clarington tying the game once more and sending it to overtime. It took roughly 12 and a half minutes of hard fought overtime before Clarington found the back of the net to win 3-2.
