
If being around birds lifts your spirits, Presqu’ile Park is the place to be this Saturday and Sunday.
Bev Cook with Friends of Presqu’ile tells us Warblers and Whimbrels Weekend celebrates the return of the song and shorebirds.
There will also be bird-banding demonstrations both days, an opportunity for you to see the birds up close.
Cook says the Lighthouse Interpretive Centre will be a gathering point.
By the numbers Cooks says it’s been a good year for bird migration at Presqu’ile.
Saturday and Sunday the Friends of Presqu’ile Gift Shop will be open and there’s a fundraising barbecue lunch both days from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
