The Community Foundation for Lennox & Addington has approved over $171,000 in grants for local charities and student awards.
Executive Director Bob Baker announced $90,675 will fund 26 community initiatives this year. Additionally, $80,460 in scholarships and bursaries will support 28 high school students starting post-secondary education in September.
Baker shared that “We are fortunate to have donors who are inspired to create transformational change in L&A by creating funds that improve the quality of life for those who live in, work in, and enjoy this community.”
The Community Grants Program was supported by volunteers who reviewed applications. The funds come from individuals, families, and organizations committed to building a thriving community.
