The Ontario government has awarded the contract to build the new Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (PECMH) to M. Sullivan & Son Limited, allowing construction to start soon.
Stacey Daub, President and CEO of Quinte Health, expressed gratitude for the hard work, passion, and support that led to this milestone after over ten years. She thanked project partners, donors, and MPP Todd Smith for their continuous support.
The new hospital will feature advanced medical facilities, including a 24-hour emergency department, helipad, procedural suite, and dialysis unit, to meet the community’s needs.
Construction is set to begin this month, with a preview of the design and build process available to the community this fall.
