The Napanee Raiders made their first trip to North Kawartha Saturday night to play the Knights, who had just one win in seven games heading into this matchup.
During the first period, the Raiders were the only ones to get on the board with three goals by Michael Patrick, Jayden Holden and Connor Brooks. Early in the second period Holden scored his second of the night for a 4-0 lead. In the back half of this period, the Knights went on to score their first and second goals of the night for a 4-2 Raiders lead. The Raiders recured their win with five more goals during the third period by Alex Case, a second of the night for Patrick, Holden scoring his third of the night for the hat trick and a fourth goal 30 seconds later, then a final goal by Erik MacNeil for a 9-2 win.
The Napanee Raiders now are in a three-way tie for fourth place in the East Tod Division standings with a 3-2 record and 6 points. The Amherstview Jets and Lakefield Chiefs also have 6 points each.
The Raiders are back in action Friday, October 11th, when they will host the Lakefield Chiefs at the Best & Bash Arena. Puck drop at 7:30pm. They’ll then host the Port Hope Panthers Saturday, October 12th with a 3:30pm puck drop at the B&B Arena.
