Owner of Harvest Brinery Colleen and her husband Miles began their business after someone suggested they sell the pickles and other items they were making. It started with one little table at the Napanee market offering five different products to now operating a store front on John Street downtown.
Harvest Brinery uses fresh, local produce whenever possible. While not all items are available year-round, like cucumbers in January, they rely on local suppliers for most of their needs. Spring Meadow Orchards provides a large portion of their produce, while garlic, beets and other vegetables coming from local producers. A farmer in Kingston delivers fresh hot peppers.
Aside from their delicious pickles, preserves, and so much more that they sell, they also offer local produce on a table out front, selling small quantities like a couple of celery stalks or a single apple. Great for when you need just one potato and not a whole bag.
Supporting local farmers is key to their mission. As they say, “No farmers, no food.” By buying local, Harvest Brinery helps keep the community thriving while ensuring fresher, better-tasting products.
