Lennox and Addington County OPP officers have laid multiple charges, including impaired driving and identity theft, against three people in two separate incidents.
On November 28, 2024, police stopped a vehicle on Highway 401 near Greater Napanee after reports of dangerous driving. Two individuals, Shayne Couturnier, 53, of Mississauga, and Arshum Hossaini, 25, of Toronto, were arrested. They face charges including identity theft, possession of forged and stolen documents, and cocaine possession. Both remain in custody and are scheduled for a bail hearing in Napanee.
In a separate incident, officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 41 in Addington Highlands after receiving a complaint. Ajay Sunil, 26, of Toronto, was charged with impaired driving. Sunil was released with a court date set for December 17, 2024, in Greater Napanee. Police also issued a 90-day license suspension and impounded Sunil’s vehicle for 14 days.
