The Greater Napanee Salvation Army has so far raised 45% of their $130,000 Kettle Campaign Goal.
myFM spoke with Abby Mills, who told us they, like many other charities, are feeling the impact of the Canada Post Strike. Their letter appeal donations are coming in very slowly.
If you haven’t donated yet but are planning to, it’s recommended you wait until Saturday, December 21, 2024. Walmart Canada is set to host the 15th annual “Fill the Kettle Day” and match donations made by individuals to Salvation Army Christmas kettles located in stores nationwide.
In the mean time, they’re still looking for volunteers to man the kettles. Shifts are available in 2-hour increments.
Anyone who would like to volunteer can call Carolyn at 613-888-4426.
