The Town of Greater Napanee is warning residents about a parking ticket scam circulating in the area. Scammers are sending fake parking tickets by email or text, tricking people into making fraudulent payments.
The Town’s By-law Enforcement team reminds residents that real parking tickets are always issued in person and provided on paper. Official notices are sent only by mail—never by email or text. The only safe way to pay a parking ticket online is through the Town’s official website.
Anyone who receives a suspicious message about a parking ticket should not respond or make any payments. For questions or concerns, residents can call the Town’s Customer Service team at 613-354-3351.
