Greater Napanee Town Council will be receiving a report during their meeting this week (Tuesday, January 28th at 7pm) pushing back its vote on the 2025 budget to allow more time for review. The decision comes after two reports that could impact the budget were deferred at the January 14 meeting.
Originally, Council planned to adopt the budget on January 28, 2025, following a public notice issued in December. However, the vote will now take place at a Special Meeting on February 4, 2025.
The agenda for the meeting will be available on the town’s meeting portal by January 31. Officials say this change ensures enough time for Council to consider any necessary adjustments before finalizing the budget.
