
Massive winter storm slams Napanee and Consecon—travel not recommended
A dangerous winter storm is hammering Napanee and Consecon today, bringing heavy snowfall and near-zero visibility. Up to 30 cm of snow is expected, with some areas seeing as much as 40 cm.
Snow is falling at a rate of 3 to 6 cm per hour, creating hazardous conditions with strong winds and blowing snow. Roads will quickly become treacherous, and visibility may drop suddenly. Officials urge residents to avoid non-essential travel.
The heaviest snow is expected this morning and afternoon, with conditions improving by evening. Residents should prepare for possible power outages and stay indoors if possible.
