Residents of Greater Napanee will have the chance to discover free artwork as part of Art and Found Day. Taking place on March 12, 2025, this global event sees artists from around the world leave paintings, photographs, drawings, and handmade crafts in public spaces for people to find and keep.
Several local artists, including Lisa Ray Koenig, Jeanne Hudson, Jonne Kells Chalmers, Shelley Taylor, and Kelly Albin, will participate by hiding their creations throughout the community. Each piece will be clearly marked as FREE with #ArtandFoundDay and include details about the artwork and artist inside.
Originally created by Toronto artist Courtney Senior, Art and Found Day aims to spark joy, connect communities, and introduce people to new artists. Koenig, now in her fourth year participating, says the event has turned casual observers into passionate art lovers.
