
We continue our profiles of the local candidates running in the Provincial election.
Hastings-Lennox and Addington Liberal Candidate Lynn Rigby is a a longtime resident and family farm owner in Stone Mills. She says her background in healthcare, agriculture, and family life makes her the right choice to represent rural Ontario at Queen’s Park.
When asked what issues she’s seeing in the riding, she shared she’s been traveling around, meeting with Mayors and Reeves and a common problem is a lack of funding for rural Ontario.
How will Rigby and the Liberals fix our local issues? She says they will listen to people to hear their concerns directly, and then advocate for them.
Looming tariffs and the potential trade war have many concerned. Rigby says that though Premier Doug Ford “pretends he’s Captain Canada,” it’s really a team efforts between the provinces and the federal government.
Election Day is February 27th.
