
Quinte Conservation has appointed City of Quinte West Councillor Don Kuntze as Chair of the Executive Board for a two-year term, effective February 20, 2025. Kuntze takes over leadership with the goal of advancing conservation efforts and collaborating with the provincial government to protect local water and nature. He will be supported by Vice Chair Chris Malette, a City of Belleville Councillor, who was re-elected after serving as Chair in 2023-2024.
During the meeting, several staff members were recognized for their dedication and years of service, including Tammy Smith (35 years), Christine Campbell (10 years), and Lindsay Nash, Michael Burtt, and Pat Moran (5 years each).
Brad McNevin, Chief Administrative Officer of Quinte Conservation, praised the commitment of the staff, stating that their hard work is vital to the organization’s mission of protecting the region’s ecosystem and promoting sustainability.
