The Conservatives took 81 seats, one better than at dissolution. They were followed by the NDP who will make up the official opposition with 25, down by three. The Liberals took 13 seats, an increase of 4, which helps them regain official party status. And the Green Party of Ontario won 2 seats.
As for the leaders of the four major parties, Doug Ford easily won his home riding of Etobicoke North.
Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie lost in her riding of Mississauga East-Cooksville. She has vowed to stay on as leader despite the loss.
